My Dear Sir;

Under cover with this
you will find the [] you desired
and I take a moment to say that 
Julia is gradually and I think by safe
degrees recovering from a persisting
head ache that has annoyed her for
several weeks. That your mother is
well and both herself and Margaret
improved greatly in looks and health.
I take another moment to say that
a letter from Judge Brown informs
me that he has compromised the
suit with Samuel by agreeing that
I shall pay him Winston's bond
and some $169 for actual expenses.
The $1500 commissions are entirely
summ'd. The block head then gets
precisely what he would have
got without a suit. So well so good.
I have just sold one half of my crop
of corn for 52 cts on delivery at the
landing. I will write you of other
things as a moment of greater

leisure.
