I thought I had swept out New York last fall but find that I only dream'd. You will have no difficulty in parting with the check at the Mechanics Bank. Last Fall they chargd me 1/2 pr cent. I hope you recd mine of the 23d enclos ing a check of $61, to meet Int to Col Hedges 1 March.
