Abstract: Dares intrude to state that Jefferson's friends in New England who are many will be disappointed if he declines being vice president; any abuse he may receive comes from party who abuse everyone who will not bow to British monarchy; if such abuse deprives public of services of those on whom they may confide with safety the enemies of an elective Republic will triumph.
