Abstract: Asks for Wise's views and suggestions as to the upcoming Presidential contest; offers his "humble influence" to Wise in his political aspirations; predicts the development of the Democratic Convention; questions why all states, emaning the inclusion of ones that do not usually vote Democratic should have a say in the Democratic nomination; claims that the South will provide "present protection and future success" for the Democrats.
