Description: Booklet of anti-Union cartoons and a drawing of the use of rooms in the Wren Building, possibly of the 1859-1862 era. The cover reads: "Pictures of the Present. / Dedicated to those / who yet revere / The Spirit of the Past. / by / A quodam Virginian." The drawings: 1. The Flight from Harrisburg; 2. Lincoln at Dinner. Meditating on the division of the spoils; 3. Gen[era]l Winfield shooting off the big guns of the governmnet with the recent inaugural for a porte-fire; 4. "The Virginia Dare -(not)" Ship of the line; 5. "Last scene of all that ends this strange Pictorial History. Virginia's degradation"; and a schematic on the back of the final cartoon appears to be of the College Building (Wren Building) at the College of William and Mary. The back cover has a pencil map of the the Tidewater area, including King's Creek, Poquoson and further east.
